HCN Launches World’s First Multi-Hotel In-Room Convention Broadcast
Chicago’s largest city-wide convention, RSNA,
reaches out to thousands of attendees for the first time
in the comfort and convenience of their hotel room.
Chicago, IL – December 1, 2011 – Ottawa based Hotel Communication Network Inc. (HCN), a leader in hospitality software solutions, has launched the first multi-hotel in-room convention broadcasting program through their network of in-room Navigator computers. Chicago’s largest city-wide convention, Radiology Society of North America’s (RSNA) 97th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting held from November 27th to December 2nd, was able for the first time to reach out to their attendees in the comfort and convenience of their hotel rooms.
For the first time RSNA attendees received a personal welcome message from the president of RSNA, Burton P. Drayer, MD as they entered their hotel rooms. In addition the attendees had a direct link to the Annual Meeting agenda, exhibitor list, daily bulletin, virtual meetings, help center, their online programs and full access to the RSNA website. This unprecedented broadcast communication is a game changer for the hospitality and convention industries. Event attendees are now enjoying around the clock event interaction keeping them constantly informed and interacting with every aspect of the event.
The RSNA meeting was broadcast into thousands of attendee rooms. The large 22” color touch screen computers not only gave the attendees unprecedented access to the event but also gave them full detailed information on their hotel facilities and services, a comprehensive directory of Chicago dining, shopping, attractions and nightlife, access to the city’s best entertainment tickets, music, games, Internet and email access and more.
